First Step Women’s Shelter is pleased to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as a service provider providing information/support and assistance and emergency shelter services to abused women and their children.  The purpose of this website is to provide information with respect to our facility and services available at and offered by the Shelter.

We share a concern for all women and children who are living with violence and abuse and for families which suffer as a result.  We believe that when we work together, violence will become the exception instead of the norm within families.
