Mandate

NAHNAHDA-WEE-EE-WAYWIN Sioux Lookout Sexual Assault and Counselling Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization that is governed by a voluntary, elected board of directors.

NAHNAHDA-WEE-EE-WATWIN Sioux lookout Sexual Assault Centre provides culturally inclusive counselling, advocacy, prevention and education to survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse to promote healing of their spiritual well being.

NAHNAHDA-WEE-EE-WAYWIN Sioux Lookout Sexual Assault and Counselling Centre will ensure that honest, kindness, sharing, faith, respect and unconditional positive regard permeates throughout all programing.

Mission

NAHNAHDA-WEE-EE-WAYWIN Sioux Lookout Sexual Assault and Counselling Centre is dedicated to providing a community safe-place where victims of sexual assault and or abuse can access supportive services in an environment that has been developed specifically for this reason. Victims of sexual assault and or abuse who access services are supported in a way that is specifically designed for their needs: having been developed according to evidence informed practices, respecting their privacy and dignity, while ensuring that they are not re-traumatized by the system itself.
